Sixteen brushed metal surfaces across steel, aluminium, brass and blackened iron, each supplied in two grain directions.

Brushed metal reads wrong when the grain wanders, because the specular streak has to follow one axis for the eye to accept it as machined. Every sheet here holds a single grain direction end to end.
